Emergency Management for Cultural Organizations

The Colorado Cultural and Historic Resources Task Force seeks assistance in many areas. Under the supervision of museum, archives and library professionals, the scope any project of could include:

• Webmaster/Design. We are seeking assistance maintaining and improving our website. We would like to be able to consider moving our website off the current commercial platform.

• Database management: We consistently need to update our data on Colorado cultural and historic organizations database.

• GIS maintenance. We have ESRI GIS maps of cultural and historic resources in Colorado and these maps need maintenance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with cultural or historical collections or organizations, such as museums, libraries, archives, or performing art venues.

• Students who have recently received or are currently working toward a degree (undergraduate or graduate) in preservation, museum studies, database management, or a related field.

• A strong desire to pursue a career in cultural heritage management.

• Experience with Excel required, experience with GIS .

At this time we do not have any paid positions but we have had successful grant applications in the past. If you have interest in any of these activities or need a capstone or internship project to complete your degree, please contact us.
