Boulder Fires and Straight-Line Winds Recovery Support

As people return to their homes, they may find personal items that survived the fire, but are smoke or ash-damaged. Additionally, the cities and businesses may have archives and important papers that require treatment. They will have questions about how to clean these items. The Cultural and Historic Resources Task Force works with museums, archives, and libraries during emergency situations. We have access to professional conservators who can guide residents and businesses in object and paper-based material recovery. Here is a link to our ash cleaning resource guide, which was created with the guidance of conservators. Additional information about disaster recovery resources for cultural and historic resources can be found on our Resources page. The CHR-TF can be reached via our contact form.
